2019-2020 HRSA Nursing Corps Scholarship

Updated:   Published

I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I was in the first group and mine is the same. Wonder if that just means I was rejected for some reason. Lmao.

How long did they give you to complete it this time? I was in the first round and is still in final review too

Has anyone received a countersign yet?

I haven’t received a countersign. I also wasn’t asked to resubmit my documents and I’m in final review. Wondering if that means anything..

@JourneyNP I also was never asked to resubmit any documents, and mine also says "In Final Review"

It honestly might have been a glitch. A lot of students had issues with their account in pervious years.

So I just called and he said it was a recall. I told him I didnt get contacted to resubmit. I guess even though I'm a finalist I didnt get it. Dang. Good look to everyone else

Hi everyone,

I just called the BHW again, and commented "that's funny this is the 2nd call I got about this" because I believe @noname called too.

The customer service guy said that if you didn't recalled this didn't mean anything and we should should wait until September 30th for the final email (I know super long wait -- anxiety central). So for us who are finalist and didn't get contacted to resubmit documents then he said you are still in the game and not denied the scholarship. I know last year they didn't start rewarding until late September, 1 week before September 30th I believe.

? So everyone who didn't get contacted to resubmit deep breath and we still got this!

When looking back contracts weren't signed until September 20th.

@alextaylor17 Yeah so I'm just going to wait until then to hear back. This scholarship just gives me so much anxiety haha.

@RNbub Same lol I don't want to even worry about it until then ?

Anyone who had to resubmit paperwork. Did u see what was diffrent on the papers. Was it the date or document number.
