2019-2020 HRSA Nursing Corps Scholarship

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Your contract should be in your portal. If you go to Nurse Corps SP and click on that tab, it will show your status and your contract. I hope you got it that would be so amazing. Praying for you ?

Thanks! So, here's the latest: I just logged in (their site is up again btw) and now I am NOT seeing the same message I saw yesterday (see screenshot above) but I am however seeing under "roles" the title "participant". That was definitely not there prior to yesterday. I did check under NCSP as you suggested but I do not see a contract there. I also have not received an email from them. I do not know what to think. At this point, I'm just rolling with it. Whatever it is it is. I've obsessed to the point of making myself sick over this now so I'm just trying to stay sane and go with the flow. lol

So sorry... where are you seeing this role tab? What site is this?

Just on the main page after you login. Upper right hand corner. Under "roles" tab

Oh I see it now. Thank you. Mine still says final review.

@puisingra2013 Hmmm that's strange, I've always had the participant option that's located in roles ever since I created an account. The participant portal won't be activated until you have a signed contract and have been selected. In the NCSP Applicant section you will see your overall status and your contract with your signature is beneath. Your contract that's in your file will only have your signature from when you signed and sent off your school verification. The next notice you will receive will be a signature from the secretary for HRSA and that's if you are selected to be a participant. I'm sorry you're having this issue I know it's frustrating.

I also just noticed the participant tab. Not sure if it was there previously though.

Did anyone apply for Nurse corps and NHSC? if so,

is the color of the "under review" tab green in the nurse corps

and the NHSC "under review" tab orange?

Just curious ? I feel like they were both initially green.

Thx
