I can't seem to find a thread on the latest round of Nurse Corps Applications, So I'll start. My initial point is more of me venting, but guess I'll ask - Should I even continue with my application? The new cycle and FAFSA wants us to use 2017 tax info, but in 2017, I was preparing for school and was employed full-time. Now that I'm collecting pennies and in dire need of assistance, it looks like my EFC is almost 8000. I can rarely work in reality. I'm really disheartened and confused as to why the FAFSA is set up like that.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I hope you're right. It's strange, just out of nowhere. I do not have an email from them. It's weird that I would see this prior to an email from them tho right?

FYI -- I just logged back in and now it says "participant" under the roles section also. That was not there just a few minutes ago when I first checked.

Thanks!! But I don't feel like congratulations are in order just yet lol This entire program seems a little strange and the fact that there has been a history of glitches makes me very wary. Ugh.. ?

Have you tried logging in as a participant? If so, what does it say?

I just called and they said they can’t really help me since my account went from in final to review to under review and that’s what they’re still seeing on their end. Congrats to everyone who won/will win!

I just tried that and it does not work. Says cannot find a record that matches. Yet, another reason I'm leery. We shall see. With the site being under maintenance all day, I'm thinking there will be another round of emails on Monday.

wait do you have a signed contract by the secretary? Because your contract has to be singed.

Just make sure your overall application status says participant. This system has a lot of glitches, you want to make sure your contract has been singed off by the secretary of HRSA. If it hasn't then your contract isn't valid.

Mine still has in final review. A credit check doesn't mean you have the scholarship, they are just looking for any default.

Oh I know. I’m not even remotely excited to find this. More like confused. I’m extremely leery of the whole process. So many glitches as you said. I’ll wait to see what happens next.

@puisingra2013, I’d probably feel similarly if I were you. But at the same time, it’s probably a good sign :).

Your contract should be in your portal. If you go to Nurse Corps SP and click on that tab, it will show your status and your contract. I hope you got it that would be so amazing. Praying for you ?
