It looks like you've done everything you've had to as far as the BON is concerned. The fact that they're letting you take the NCLEX is very promising, though IMO don't celebrate until you have your license in hand. Focus on that test right now because if you don't pass it, nothing else will matter.
Also, for the future beyond this first job, you may want to check to see if expungement is a possibility in your state. Expungement may allow you to answer "No" to certain criminal history questions.
Best of luck!

I just received a job offer today. I will be graduating in 6 weeks, so this is all new to me. The hospital said it was contingent on background, UA, and blood tests for titer. I put on my application that I was in trouble for a bad check when I was 18 years old for $15.16. I applied for a declaratory order from the board of nursing, and was granted permission to sit for boards. Will my background disqualify me? I want to be happy, but can't fully rejoice. I will have my BSN. I am treasurer of SNA, so it's not like I am untrustworthy. This happened in 2003. I didn't bounce the check intentionally, it was before there was online banking and internet everywhere.
