Hi!!!Eveyone

How's your experienced as a STNA at HCR MANORCARE?How much the starting salaries for a newly STNA?

I had my interview and I am still waiting for them to call me back to start the process.

What is a STNA? Is it the same as CNA?

Yes, in ohio cna's are called stna's

STNA means state tested nursing assistant.

so have you heard from them? im wondering about them myself!

Specializes in geriatrics, dementia, ortho.

I haven't worked for Manorcare but my clinicals for my CNA class were at one, it seemed just fine. Pay was average for my area, staffing was decent but difficult (like everywhere) and they had just gone to color-coded scrubs for staff, which most of the CNA's I met didn't like. They're building one here in my town, so I wonder if I'll start hearing more about it once it's open? Anyway, feel free to share, it's suprprising how similar the facilities all owned by the same parent companies can be. For instance, I worked at a Clare Bridge (Brookdale Senior Living owned dementia facility) that was HORRIBLE and have heard the same about other ones, because the policies dictated by corporate are what make it so bad.

There's a Manor Care near where I work and I have volunteered at manor care with Hospice vigils and weekly visits with a dementia lady. The staff seem happy and friendly every time I'm there. I will be interested to hear more about their treatment of cna's etc.

I just got hired at a new HCR Manor Care facility as a CNA. I can't wait to start work there. I'll let you know how it goes. So far, from what I can see, the place looks really nice and the staff look happy.

Just got hired at Manor Care here in Pittsburgh. I start classes next Monday so I can't really say much about it yet but in the times I've been there everyone has seemed very nice and the residents seemed happy. I loved seeing them out and about, not just sitting in their room being miserable.

I had a friend of mine work with this company and said the same thing.
