Hi all,
I'm doing questions daily from the Saunders CD-ROM, and I'm wondering how to do them. After I click "Quiz," it asks you to select an area from the following:
How many times should I quiz myself on each area? And once I select an area, another screen appears asking me to select from three choices:
I've been selecting all three, is that ok?
Thanks all (and especially to Suzanne for all her study tips!) :)

Well, I do it by sections and it works for me. For example I click study, then click Neurology, then do ALL the questions and bookmark the ones I miss. I read the rationales for every question.....even the ones I got right. I also study for tests at school that way with the Saunders CD. I have the added benefit of being ready for NCLEX (almost) when I am done with school. I used the PN version very successfully to pass NCLEX LPN and am doing the same with RN. I will test for RN in December or early January.

Are the questions in the quiz, test and Study sections from the same queston pool? I have the same book/disk and was just wondering which section I should go to.

Yes, the questions from the quiz, test and study sections are all the same. When you go into the study section, all the questions on the topic you select will be given in the same order. When you go into the exam/quiz, you are given a random order, but the same questions you will see in the study guide portion if you complete all the questions given. It's a good comprehensive review. I personally liked the study guide section because you will be given all the questions on that particular topic you select, and you receive instant feedback. Good luck studying, it was the only comprehensive nclex-rn book i studied from and i passed.

I second what noelle027 abougt the repeat questions and what not.. I used the Saudners extensively and would read the book first, a few chapters at a time and then do the study questions/quiz questions mostly.. A lot of the NCLEX is application so I chose that mode to study with a lot in the quizzes though they did get to repeat after a while (but the answers you keep getting incorrect really stick after a while =)..I was a little too impatient to do some of the exams when they were over 500 questions so I would go back to the exam section and do a little of those everyday until I got to the end.. Sometimes I just chose a topic on the quiz section that I hadn't brushed up on or hadn't covered to mix it up.. The rationales with the studying/quiz section helped me retain the most information though I think the book is useful too.. (sometimes I have to see info organized again to get the concepts again ).. Good luck with studying!..
Thanks a million! Great info and great advice. ~Angelina

Really doesn't matter. The only difference is the newest edition has some of the new format questions, but if you know the material, then how they give you the question should not make any difference.
What you have will be just fine....................:)
