I have been admitted to the ASN program at North Georgia. I only have the nursing classes and clinicals to do. I have taken all the other classes. So my first semester I will be taking two classes one is 5 hrs the other 1 hr. And then of course lab to get prepared for clinicals. SO my question with being a SAHM and homeschooling one of my children in 1st grade. How tough will this be? Any and all advised is sosososososo appreciated!

I have a 3 and 2 year old and just graduated from an ADN program. So my kids were even younger when i started. Like you I'm a sahm. I took one nursing class per semester that was worth 9 credits each. It's very doable.

It's doable, you just have to realize that you won't be able to spend the same amount of time with them as you used to. My kids are 6 and 3 and I will be starting again this fall. I have an awesome hubby and an awesome babysitter who are both tremendous helps! Our schedules are set for us, so we can't really pick and choose what class we want to take what semester. We can pick, and pray, we get the class time we want! NS isn't your whole life, but it will be a big part of it for the 2 years you are in it!

I think that I answered your other post. Its very doable. You have to set aside time for school and stick to a schedule. When I started school I worked full-time, had to foster babies going through withdrawl, and school full-time. I did it for 18 months with a minimum of 2 babies. I will complete my program in about 70 days. Did I say have a schedule...Good Luck with school!
