Yay!!! I got accepted into Nursing school my first try :-) I start this fall, but was wandering how soon should I be looking for that new job? I definetly will not be living in the same place after school. Lets just say I moved to a place no one would want to, with a family any way, for a better chance of getting in. I will be 40 when a graduate, so no time to be wasting :-)

Sooner the better. You need to find a job that will fit your schedule. Figure out what your schedule so you don't waste your time, nor your hopeful employer. Try to find a hospital job. There's a lot of benefits. If not, theres nothing wrong with waiting tables. Good luck!

You mean when should you start looking for your first nursing job? A few months before you graduate, at the earliest. Nursing jobs change quickly, and most require that you have at least graduated (Graduate nurse positions) and passed your NCLEX and obtained a license (RN jobs) before you can start working. So there's no point in looking for jobs now, when you can't apply for several years. Spend your time and energy learning all you can in nursing school, networking, and making good grades.
If you want a job in the healthcare field (such as a CNA or PCT) it would be a good idea to start looking now. Working in a hospital now will help you get your foot in the door, get some healthcare experience, and make it easier for you to get an RN job in the future.
