You have not advised us on what information you need. Are you a nurse already? or do you want to study in Australia?

How a person becomes an RN in Australia is to do a university degree in nursing and then apply to be registered with national nurses board...http://www.ahpra.gov.au...

If from overseas and already a nurse, I guess you must be assessed by ahpra, but the most important thing to do from overseas is to have a very, very good understanding of english and I believe our immigration as well as the nurses board is now demanding a higher standard of english before you are considered for nursing courses.......as we do not have a national nurses exam.....this has not caught out nurses with poor english skills and at times the universities have given allowances for poor english, so passing a degree has not meant english is spoken well.

In the past overseas nurses where english is not first language have been allowed to be registered here with very, very poor english speaking and understanding skills.

I am sorry if anyone takes offence at this, but english has been deemed our national language, it is spoken by our pollies, our defence force, our government officials our education...universities and schools and all our health institutions, and by the majority of our population, it therefore should be spoken well and understood more so..by the people employed in these jobs.. it would be same for Australian if ditto.

My advice go to the AHPRA website and read and read and get the english at IELTS 7as this is needed for university nurses courses, read the forum for 'new grad Filipino thread' if already a nurse.

@ceridwyn thanks a lot for your wonderful guidelines,, it really helped me a lot,, wish me luck ,,,,,,,,,,,, with regards,,, sristi,,:D
