Hi I currently work at 2 different jobs. One job is in eye surgery where I am casual working 1 or 2 days a week. We are currently short staffed and people going on holidays and another person recently quit. So therefore they tried to make me quit my other job even offering more money. I also have another job, permanent part time working 3 days a week and them trying to get me to go full time but the pay isn't great and not where I want to be. I finally got offered a job I really want thats full time and great pay and walking distance from my house. I am quite scared to quit and have major anxiety. I know its not my fault they are short staff but I know both jobs will give me the cold shoulder and won't be nice. I know I need to do what is best for me but won't jobs see it coming so I feel quite bad. I am scared I will get yelled at and stuff. Just need some advice and what I should say? Thanks

You write a letter or resignation and go to the manager and ask to talk to her/him. You can say something like "I need to talk to you - I am resigning from my position with 2 weeks notice. Thank you for all the opportunities I had and everything I learned and so on and forth.
Make sure that you give one letter to the manager and ask if they will forward it to HR. Ask the manager to email you with an acknowledgment.
Just don't say anything negative and tell them that you will be moving forward to better your clinical and other nursing skills - I mean, who can argue with a nurse who wants to better herself??? Make sure to write in your letter of resignation which day will be your last day of work so there is no misunderstanding...

If you are at a loss for words and cannot find the right way to resign, send a cake in with your resignation decorated on the cake.

You have been offered the job opportunity you have been seeking. Resign from your current positions per protocol.
You are a PROFESSIONAL. We are not "scared I will get yelled at and stuff". The facilities have no choice but to accept your resignation.. you have nothing to say but "thank you for the opportunity , I am moving on.
