This year was the start of nursing school for many. How did you prepare for the first day of class?

I looked over my syllabus and then read a few chapters before the first day. I tried not to overwhelm myself and enjoy and be proud that you are starting a great career. I just completed the Practical Nursing program.... Good luck and I know you'll do fine.

For my BSN, I didn't have any time to adjust as they told me of my acceptance only two weeks out... But for my ADN, I've already have my books (from a wonderful craigslister who gave me them for free) but I'm gonna try to read a few chapters a week

I did all my lounging and relaxing, and Ellen watching before nursing school started... because once it did... my life was never the same. Take some time for yourself, because after you are a RN, your life is about others... not you!

I was going to read my books and prepare myself for late nights and early mornings but decided to ORGANIZE my life instead. I made a list of everything that I needed to clean and organized my life, inside and out.

Oh man, I took a year of pre-nursing at my school before starting the nursing courses. I was told that nursing was different than any other class I have experienced, and that I should be on my A-game if I want to succeed. So... I literally read half of my Fundamentals book over Christmas break, lol. How much of that sank in... well, that's another thing altogether

I'm so confused... If you got your BSN why are you doing an ADN? Or am I reading it wrong?
