I'm very familiar with the tele lead placement when there are five leads, but what about six?! This is how they do it at my new hospital and I was flummoxed by the second brown lead. I asked a couple people but no one seemed to have a definitive answer. Google is not too helpful either.

I have never done 6 lead placement, is it like 12 lead without the limb leads? That's a configuration that would make sense to me, but not knowing you're set up, I'm not sure.

Are the brown leads marked? We have 6 lead telemetry but the extra one is purple. The brown is V1 and the purple is V6.

We put our second chest lead in V3 position (not V5). It's more a matter of preference, and individualizing to the patient, not right or wrong, when it comes to the second chest lead in a 6 lead system.
