How to pass the NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Is it true that knowing how to answer or attack the NCLEX questions and knowing the strategies for taking the exam are more important than knowing the Nursing content? ( I know that both are important but some have told me that since the answers are already given because it's a multiple choice type of question, you just have to know how to pick the right answer---except for the new format questions). Any comments?

I read the question. Did not look at the answers. Closed my eyes and thought it through and then looked to see if my answer was there. If you have no clue what-so-ever, go with "C". Good Luck!

studing as well for the nclex, think kaplan and saunders are very good. alos critical thinking and common sense.

It would be more prudent to utilize and trust your nursing judgement rather than cop out and choose "c". That way of thinking does not apply in the NCLEX hospital.

i've been doing both .. i thought the kaplan was helpful and i am reviewing content in saunders.. i take mine on 7 -17 we'll see how i do

I took Kaplan in May and i just did not study enough in June. I am taking test on august 1. I am planning to start doing test questions from tomorrow, and i have reviewed content using Kaplan book only. I will also use Saunders CD to practice test questions. Any advice if i am on right track or should i do something different???? is it enough to study for a month to pass nclex ?

I took a reveiw course in early June for 8 days. The week before the test (6/26) I did the Kaplan test trainer and reviewed content. I passed with 75 questions. If you did pretty good in nursing school and have been doing practice questions it should not take more than a month to study.

I was scared to take it but the thought of dragging it out all summer was worse! Best of luck to you. You can do it!!!!
