I guess it also shows...that Parkland still let's LVNs work in L&D..! But I bet one thing they skirted around, and didn't go into was the pay! Dallas is expensive, and you can't live too well on good feelings! But it would be nice..:). My ex-MIL thought Parkland was IT! I have been there...and I knew I could never work there! Reminded me of a war zone.!

Interesting. I like the fact that NPs and CNMs do more of the care, and the teamwork aspect looks amazing. I don't like the cookbook rules though. In my experience a lot of a hospital's policies in L&D, like no oral fluids when in labor, are based on tradition and aren't actually helpful.

I found this to be a very moving and inspiring story. A hospital that treats its patients well, has respect for nurses, and physicians who are not above cleaning up the delivery room? Sign me up ...
