What are your average visit frequencies ? Some agencies are cutting back to every other week because of the basket cuts.

I usually see my wound care pts qd or qod and my htn and diabetes pts 3x/week or so. I avg anywhere between 40-60 visits a week (no exageration). Definitely no cut backs on frequencies at my agency at all!

Frequencies should be established based on the individual patient's situation. Agencies who cut back based solely on "the cut backs" ought to be ashamed of themselves....unless they are trying to extend their existing visits and providing the same services that they provided in 10 in perhaps let's say, 8!

It depends on the patient's situation. We have wound care patients who are seen 1-2 times/day and then other patients who are seen 1x/week. I did an admission yesterday for a patient who needs no further services at this time.

Yeap, I have a client who won't see an RN for the foreseeable future too.
The agency I work for rarely increases frequencies, even after a hospitalization. And Sometimes not even after a second hospitalization. One time a week for 2 or 3 weeks then every other week.

As long as total care doesn't exceed 35%, anything goes! Profit must be 65% or more. per the company I work for.
65% ? wow. Home Health owners are all the same. Greedy and NO cooth, unprofessional and Tacky, they just want more and more. that's why most of them have no problems stealing for a living.

It depends on why I am seeing them. It is up to the case managing nurse to decide the pattern anyone skilled should be seen at least once a week any longer than that you need to question do they really need skilled nursing patterns can always be adjusted as needed through out the cert period by getting a new order from the doctor. Wound care and people with new or acute exacerbation of cp status I see 3 times a week, those needing education monitoring I see 1 or 2x a week. Unskilled clients recieving services like a hha through medicare or medicaid have to be seen every fourteen days and an assessment must be done at that time and a supervisory visit for the aide.
