yes and no, they will assess your nursing program and any experience, then they will either register you or tell you what you need to do for them to register you,
It up to the applicant to find an approved course (if this is required) and pay fees, enrol etc.
I suppose it would not matter if you did a course in Darwin, Hobart of Perth (I do not know if these states have bridging courses or not) if they were approved courses and this is what the Nation Nursing Board wanted you to do then it would lead to a National nursing registration.
Could everyone please think of Australia as just one place now the state borders for many health practitioners have been taken down.....except Western Australia and they should catch up soon....say 2020 (only joking)
So if you take a uni course, bridging course in South Australia then the NATIONAL Board will register even if you find work in Northern Territory. (thats of course if the National Board wants you to do this)

Thank you very much for the information.
If you can pls further advice me,
what is the visa she needs to apply for the purpose of following a bridging course which is little over 12 weeks long?
Does anyboady know whether a nurse can get provisional(regional) visa on the basis she will follow a bridging course+IELTS @ Ausi
This site here tells of what visa is required by overseas nurses: Visa Options for Nurses - Doctors and Nurses - Workers - Visas Immigration, looks like business visa 456 is the one that mentions bridging courses
It looks like to get a regional visa, you will need to be sponsored by a regional health service...really do not like your chances on this one, but who knows.....you will still need to be assessed by the National Board, no registration, no work.

Ceridwyn, I am filling out the new application for General Nurse in Australia. Can you help me out with the CV to be included? In the formatting it states 'Clinical/ Procedural skills'. What do they want here? I can only think of the checklists for Travel Nurse jobs. Is this it? Also want to verify that the statment 'This CV is true and correct...' is to be signed by my last employer (not me)? Hope you can help me out, I have emailed AHPRA but got no reply though understand they must be bombarded with the new change. (I have an offer in Tas!):)
Look I would write all past work I did for the employment (volunteer) work including all onsite education and procedures that you may have been involved with in your capacity as a registered nurse, it would need to be signed by someone that is qualified to verify this is true, according to the application form it is to be nurse incharge or HR. This to show past experience at that health institution.
Í do not see why you would need to get your CV signed as it is your personal account of your professional education and work and no-one can verify this but you.
I am not an employee of the new board and everyone is new to this National system, unfortunately we will all have to wait, nobody here has login details, we can only check the register, that our name is there in the correct register and profession and that is all. sorry cannot help you with the finer details.

Linda, one of the members here went to the Melbourne office of AHPRA to ask about the CV being signed by the employer. They said that that part is wrong and they will correct that post soon. Employers only need to sign your certificate of employment.
Hope this helps :)
thanks for the URL. I may find valuable info thr that
Ceridwyn, Doza, thank you both. Appreciate the help.
