I was just woundering how much did your first checks add up to?
does anybody here know how much CNA'S in FL get paid? I'm just curious. I don't plan on working as a CNA, but as an LPN. I'm a CNA in training. :) I also know that it depends on where you work as a CNA. Is it true that if you work in a hospital that you get paid less than in a nursing home? As for LPN's, I heard you get $20.00/ hr working in a hospital. I just wanted to verify if that is true. thank you.
This is a little off subject but anyway I was interested in finding a cna job and a friend of mine works as one at an LTC nearby. She told me that they pay 8-9 an hour and when they go nursing home status in a few months it will be 10hr. They will pay for training too. I live in Oakland County MI. Is that normal? I thought the pay was ludicrous for the lifting and work involved. She said that 80% of the residents are lifts and she never said a word about a mechanical lift. I dont think they have one because she talked about needing 3 people to lift a really heavy patient. Is 8-10 all I can expect? I could make more than that almost anywhere else for half the work.
I live in NY and I make $14.80 an hour and im at one of the lowest paying jobs some hospitals around here pay $18...but they are hard to get into...i just got into one but they make you work there a year be4 you can make that amount...but my checks every week are like $468 take home the gross is 500 something...

My stepdad owned an at home business in FL in west palm and they made 12 an hour BUT my friend that lives north in florida said they only make $9...and lpns only make from $18-20 an hour in florida where as here in NY LPNS make $26-30 an hour....
I jus started as a brand new aid... i haven got my check yet but i subtracted the taxes and eveything out. i make 10.80 an hour unless i work a shift i wasn't scheduled to, then its 13.80 an hour. my first check will be approx. 400.00! yey thats good compared to my last job lol. its interesting i hear a lot of people on here say that aids dont make enough money, which is prob true cuz your at diff. facilities. but i think i make great money... then again i only have 7 residents! Lol.
