How much time do I need to prepare???

Published

Hey all,

Im so happy to find a place like this, full of ppl who have experianced the whol NCLEX thing or are about to.

I`m absolutelly new at this...Im a first year student in Bulgaria,Eastern Europe (for those who haven`t heard of it) and it`s in plans to pass NCLEX once I graduate after 3-4 years. So this may seem a little early, but better early then late. :p

I would appreciate any advice on how to prepare and how much time I need. My question may seem too general...but be helpful, pls. Im so young and green hahhaha :D

Thaaaaanks in advance to all of you ;)

Yes,I know that I`m gonna have to go through som stuff until I can actually prove the american system that I`m a true nurse :D

But I think I`ll use those few months the best way if I can gain some work experience working in the ER. Just throw myself to the wolves so that I don`t get scared after that :p

If retrogression is still ongoing (already been ongoing since Oct 06 and no sign currently of it going away) then you have a lot longer than a few months to gain nursing experience. Currently there are many many nurses in the queue along with a lot of other professions waiting for a visa allowing them to live and work in the US and many have been waiting since 2005-6. I suggest a good read in the international forum
