How much do RNs make working at a doctor's office?

Published

I'm planning on applying for an ADN program and then working at a doctor's office. I live in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County area). What salary can I expect? Thank you.

as a msn student, is a doctor's office a good place to work if one cannot find a hospital job?

This is in response to the nurse who said it was hard to kill a patient. I had a friend with whom I worked alot; she seemed competent and very compassionate. Until one day when the doctor came in and ordered Potassium for his patient. She drew it up and mainlined it into his IV with his family in the room. We coded him and coded him but could not bring him back. That was the last day she ever worked as a nurse; She ripped up her license and left town.

Specializes in Med-Surg/Peds/O.R./Legal/cardiology.

The last doc's office where I worked (cardiology) I made $26/hr. It depends on location.

The problem you will have with working in the doctor's office is doing clinical hours as your clinical hour times would be the same as your work hours. In the hospital you can work weekends to balance it.
