How much is your pay?

Published

I'm just curious...

Salaries varies from state to state, as well as the years of experience, and the area of specialty, right? How much is your pay per month? :heartbeat :nurse: :heartbeat

Holy Cow! Wisconsin new grads, any area $21.00 . And no holiday extra pay. I feel cheated!!!!!! My friend has been an RN for 7 years and only gets $ 24.00 :( We're in the field of healthcare without pay to compensate for the stresses we go through and endure dealing with staffing issues, family issues, etc. No matter what your salary is, you probably deserve more.:wink2:

Wow! No extra holiday pay? We get double and a half for holidays... I agree though, meeting all the expectations "without pay to compensate for the stresses we go through and endure dealing with staffing issues, family issues, etc" you must truly love what you/we do!

Well I make $29.50 base with and additional 12% for my shift diff and an additional 11% for w/e's. :yeah:I work on a TCU unit here in Ohio. When I interviewed at the local hospitals they only offered me $23.50 base with $4 shift diff. One of them only offered me $22. I have been a LPN since 1991 and RN since 2007. When I work agency I make $32 weekdays and $38 w/e's not including any shift diffs. I am relocating to Atlanta this summer and I'm a little afraid at some of the wages I have seen while looking for jobs. :uhoh21:

SYN RN

Wow, I am a CNA trying to get into nursing school. When looking at some of you guys salary, lets me know that I am making the right choice about going to school to get my R.N. degree. I must addmitt that salary is not the only reason why I chose to pursue a degree in nursing.

RN is worth it, just do your research about where you work. Esp. in what state! Look at cost of living, etc compared to your pay. Wisconsin cost of living vs. pay scale is very low for pay. I plan to move but with housing not selling around here I'm stuck for a while. House across the street has been on the market for 2 years now and I have not seen anyone look at it for a couple of months now. Yes, I love what I do and I work with some amazing co-workers.( that is priceless )

Hi Melinurse, if you're really interested in moving, any house will sell if you price it low enough! The house across the street from you could sell tomorrow it they were willing to to get less than the appraiser says it's worth... that's how we bought our house... for $20K under appraisal! It sold (to us), in a bidding war, the first weekend b/c of the low price.

I live in Texas I think I make a fairly decent wage about 70k a year with 3 yrs RN experience. The cost of living is not that high here and there is no state tax compared to Oklahoma where I used to live. Making the move from OK to Tx I got a 30k/yr raise right off the bat!
