You know the sad thing is that I make more than my mom who has been a teacher for 20 years and is now an elementary school principal.
Hey, I just got a whopping 0.14 per hour raise today!
So that puts me at:
RN-ASN degree 8 years med-surg experience-$18.50 an hour!! I have been with the same facility the whole 8 years...ACLS certified...
I wanted to tell my boss that I wouldn't spend my raise all in one place!! And to kiss my azz!!

holidays and weekends off are overrated...
m-f equals 260 days spent working/year and running errands on weekends along with everone else on the planet doing the same, fighting for parking, traffic jams on sundays, etc. (except me :) )
3 days/week equals 156 days spent working per year, and a s***load of time to run errands whenever I want :roll
:chuckle
You know I live in CA and the pay differences among counties amazes me. My mom just got her RN license and is working at a county hospital in L.A. starting at $45 hr, whereas a friend of mine is in a different county perdiem at a county hospital, has been an RN for about 1 yr and is amking $25. Go figure:confused:
