I would like to know what the cost of living in Ontario is. I am from Oklahoma and high school drop outs definately do not make 20 per hour here. More like 5.35 per hour flipping burgers. I make 8. per hour at a convenience store while I am putting myself through school and that is considered very good money for this area. Even police dispatchers only make about 8. to start here. However, the cost of living is very low here. I live in a huge, nice house with 2 bedrooms and a bath downstairs, 3 bedrooms and a bath upstairs, a study, etc., in a decent neighborhood for only 375. per month house payment. Needless to say I can get by on a much lower salary than someone in say New York and California, or Alaska, or Canada.....:)
Nurse2bee, that house would cost you $800-$1000/mo here. And that is just if you are renting it!

Where in Oklahoma do you live? I'm in OK too, your house sounds bigger than mine and I pay $200 more. I used to have a night job stocking at the commissary at Tinker getting paid $10/hr. The only other job that I've had more than minimum wage is waiting tables.
I`m in Enid. I bet you`re from OKC? I noticed in the OKC paper jobs pay a touch higher than here. I`m buying the house from my brother and that amount is the actual mortgage payment. Taxes and Insurance included. The downstairs that I mentioned is a fully finished basement...carpeted, sheetrock, etc. My two oldest sons live down there....the creatures that lurk in the basement...lol...
Hey you OK girls, are you digging out from a snowstorm? My mom and dad like in NE OK, Rogers county and they have had snow.
Yes, well, actually Midwest City. Maybe I should move out there. No that's alright I like the city much better, lol.

We got maybe 1/2 inch. Only the very northern part of OK got most of the snow.
Nurse2bee is more north than me maybe she got a lot of snow.
We got about 8 inches in Enid. It could have been worse. I here Tonkawa got 15 inches!! The schools, including the collges were canceled for 2 days. Most of it is gone now. I think I would like living in OKC. Ilike shopping there. Has a higher crime rate, though.
