Hello,
I have a BSN degree from an accelerated program from USA. I have also passed the NCLEX exam and have a license to practise in NYS. I am a new grad. I have an F1 visa. I have already used my OPT when i finished my masters in Health administration. As we all know there is retrogression going on in the US and there is no way i can work here untill it is lifted. I am so fed up with the whole american immigration system and i have decided to move to australia or canada, if possible, because i cant wait here in USA and just extent my F1 status and do nothing.
I have no idea where to start from.
I tried to search in the forum about nursing in australia and canada, but i think i am not able to understand the exact process and what to do for the same.
Can someone pls tell what is the process to move to australia or canada and work as a RN.
Pls help me if possible.
Thanks in advance.

In Canada contact the licensing body for the province you are interested in moving to and they will tell you what their requirements are. Each province is different.

Same thing with Australia. But do be aware that you have only 60 days from when you had your last classes to remain in the US to keep your visa current; otherwise you will be out of status and that will give you issues for any other country.
You need to apply for licensure to the state or province that you are interested in as a start, but all of these processes are going to take more than the 60 days. And not all accelerated programs are going to meet the requirements for immigration in other countries as they have specific time tables that you have to be enrolled in the school of nursing. Not just that you have the degree.
Best of luck to you.

It will not be a quick process and you will have to sit the CRNE at some stage. You need to decide on what province as you will need to apply to that province's nursing board and they will make the decision to whether they will accept your accelerated program. Sale goes for Australia you will need to apply to the state you want to live in and again will not be a quick process and may not accept accelerated program. The only way is going to be by applying and see what happens
