  4. Hello, I have a BSN degree from an accelerated program from USA. I have also passed the NCLEX exam and have a license to practise in NYS. I am a new grad. I have an F1 visa. I have already used my OPT when i finished my masters in Health administration. As we all know there is retrogression going on in the US and there is no way i can work here untill it is lifted. I am so fed up with the whole american immigration system and i have decided to move to australia or canada, if possible, because i cant wait here in USA and just extent my F1 status and do nothing. I have no idea where to start from. I tried to search in the forum about nursing in australia and canada, but i think i am not able to understand the exact process and what to do for the same. Can someone pls tell what is the process to move to australia or canada and work as a RN. Pls help me if possible. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hello, I am an international student and i am graduating from a BSN program in may 2008..... I recently had a talk with one agency in conneticut and i came to know from them that they can apply for my GC and i can get the EAD in 50-100 days and start working with them......the only requirements from them was that i should be on a current visa status (i mean my visa should not be expired or i should not have over stayed) and i should have a conneticut RN license...... Now i was wondering if it is true? I read the posts here and as per my knowledge i thought that you cant work because of the retrogression......so i am confused here....... I asked them specifically about retrogression too.......they said they have petitioned for many nurses and they petitioned for 4-5 nurses before 4 months and they have their EAD already.....and they are working for them... Pls do help me here......i am not sure what is true and what is wrong..... Thanks in advance...... Raj
