I am applying for Macomb CC fall 2007 start. I am hoping that I get in because I really don't know how much longer I can take doing what I do now. If I have to wait another year before I even get a chance, i just don't think I will wait around for a spot to open up.

I am applying too. I don't know it seems like everyone did well. At least in the other thread there are 4-5 of us who got 90+ on the HESI and like a 4.0 on the last 12 credit. It seems to me that this year the program is very comparative, or we are one of the very best that are applying.
also if they dont mind can they post there scores and GPA. Let me start.
91.31% and 4.0 GPA
My GPA is 4.0 and my Hesi Score was 94.87

I remember thinking this about my classmates in my pre-req classes: they were my competition. Once you 'get in' that whole vibe changes and everyone is super helpful and relaxed. Everyone shares deadlines, helpful hints, etc. with everyone else. I think nursing students are the kindest people out there, because they know how hard it is, and would hope that their kindness will be repaid in some way - and it usually is. (Study notes, extra copies of things, etc.)
WHEN you get in - remember how HARD it was and how you FELT about getting in - that desperate yearning for a spot. That is what will keep you motivated during the program. Every time I want to slack off on the studying, or close my eyes before I get everything done, I remember how much I wanted to get in, to get a spot. That usually keeps me going another hour or two. I try to keep in mind where I came from, how I felt, and where I'm going. It is the #1 motivating force for me. So many people will fail out of the program - you'll see.
Good luck to all of you, and keep trying. I know how very hard you're working. Your spot will eventually open up for you - it's then up to you what you'll do with it. GOOD LUCK!!

Are the letters mailed out? I thought it took them two months form the deadline (Feb 15) to rank everyone.
I am getting very worried about it. I just hope we all all get in.

The letters should be mailed out anytime now. (Last year, we got ours the last week of March) You will get a letter stating that you were accepted, on the alternate list or rejected. From what I have been told by faculty, they are doing another 18 month program, so that will allow for 150 to be accepted. Let us know when you get your letter!!

Thanks for your reply. I look forward to my letter and will definitely let you guys know of the acceptance or rejection.
One more question for you or anyone that may now. Will they give the 18 month program priority to hight ranking students or to anyone based on first come first serve bases?
Thanks

Hey KT~
I am not sure how they will do it this year. Last year they asked the first 130 people who were accepted first if they wanted to do the 18 month program and then asked the alternates..... Last year they did not "rank" the people who were accepted. They allowed you to request a start time (Aug, Oct, Jan, Mar) and did not go by "ranking" like they had in previous years. I know how excited you must be, I clearly remember the feeling! Keep checking your mailbox!!
