I was just wondering if most people had to take more than one semester of A&P for their nursing program? I feel like I got really lucky because I only had to take one semester but it seems like the norm is at least two semesters.

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

i had two semesters and both with labs.

Specializes in ICU, CM, Geriatrics, Management.

Two terms of A & P, both with 3-hour labs!

Just finished A & P II. These courses were tough!

My program has A & P seperate. First you take Anatomy lecture, then the next semester is Physiology and you can take the Physiology lab at the same time. Once you are finished with those you can take the Cadaver lab, so at minimum it is three semesters, 4 classes.:stone

Anatomy and physiology were seperate courses, one semester each.

16 weeks? A summer program?

Bleh tried to take a summer physiology class, instructor too hot to concentrate on the text or lecture :rotfl:

Dropped out to ask him out

I hear ya! My cadaver lab professor was like that! I stuck it through though and earned an A. You didn't happen to attend GVSU did you?;)

2 semesters. I have already taken one and have one to go next spring. I actually loved it! I guess I'm the oddball, huh?

Not at all! I think most of us would agree that we learned a lot and actually enjoyed A&P.

2 semesters. I took the class years ago and dropped it. At that time it was only one semester. I guess they finally realized that there was just too much information to be covered in one semester and broke it down into 2. I can absorb it all now!

we had labs for each class...each semester,

anatomy lecture, anatomy lab, and histology lecture. (all have to be taken together unless u pass physiology lab and not lecture and vise versa. But not same with anantomy all included, fail one fail em all, retake em all)

Physiology, and physiology lab.

5 classes 2 semsters. But you can take all in one semester, I did but it was hard to keep them straight.
