How many of you have 75 questions passed or failed?

Published

Hi, everyone, I am new here

Just took my RN exam yesterday, and... feel so bad. Cannot help it to think I failed it... :crying2: This is my second time to take it. The last time I took it was an year and half ago, I got more than 100 questions, and I failed.

This time, I really spent time preparing for the exam, since I have been out of nursing field for so many years, and it's much harder than I expected and the last time I took it. My brain was blank when I finished the exam. Couldn't remember what kind of questions I had, just memorized that I got a lot of prioritization questions, about 6 to 8. I even got one multiple choice question, when it appeared on my screen, I was so shocked and freaked out.

The computer shut down after I finished 75 questions. I almost cried it out at that time. Cuz I didn't think I do well for all those 75 questions. After I backed home, I kept thinking I failed... :crying2: although my friends kept telling me that having 75 questions is a good sign. I read some msgs posted online and found there are still a lot of people failed with 75 questions... sighs... Don't know what to do next...

People told me I can go onto CA BON's web site to check if my name is on their licensing database. I did go check it... but since I took it on Friday morning, and it's weekend now, I guess I have to wait couple days... sighs...

how do you know if the questions were above the level of passing? My questions were really hard, but i could not determine the level of difficulty

typically they say, prioritizing is considered the difficult end and basic recall is on the easier end... by prioritizing i think they mean questions that go "what would you do FIRST" or "who would you see FIRST" or "what is most important for the nurse to do"... that is what i have heard but i don't believe there is any hard set way to know whether you got what NCLEX considers a "hard question" or an "easy question" and whether the questions you got were considered "competent" or "non competent"

Thanks! I took my NCLEX RN today. I don't feel so "hot" about it. But I guess we shall see. ONly God knows and time will tell. I have been reading blogs the past couple of hours to try to get a feel of how I did. It cut off in 75 questions, i am a little nervous, but I know that the Lord is in control

Thanks again for your response

When I finished the test at question no.75 and it was stopped!!

I was very shocked&scared...

But I passed!!

Hawaii board of nursing sent the result to me two days after I took the test, very fast!

Recommended to read, they are really good. I just read both of them and passed :

NCLEX Review 3000: Study Software for NCLEX-RN

Good luck +_+

I passed with 75 woohoo! Took the exam last Tuesday found out on Friday :D :monkeydance: :penguin:

Took the NCLEX exam today and stopped at 75 questions. Now the wait. I see many people have passed with 75 questions on this thread. Anyone out there know of many that have failed with 75questions.

I got 5 or 6 select alls and several how would you see first and around 6 meds. I feel pretty good about the test but then again I am not sure as I wait for the results.

I am just relieved it is over.

:coollook:

I took the NCLEX today and the computer shut off after 75 questions- I feel like I did AWFUL because I had over 20 questions that were "select all that apply"!!!!!! I started counting at question 22 and I don't remember for sure how many I had before that. I never do good on these and wasn't prepared to have that many!!!! :uhoh21: Also, lots of pharmacology and prioritizing questions, but NO med calcs and only one each of pedi and maternity, which I feel like I am good at. I aced the HESI test at the end of nursing school and I felt very confident going in, but as the test went on I felt worse and worse.

So now I am waiting.......

i took the exam 3 times. The first two I had 265. The third time I had 75 and passed.

i see that you're from Cali and i know what it feels like to be in your position of waiting. My suggestion is to do something fun and nice for yourself to keep your mind off of it. I'm sure you did just fine. Good luck!

Mino, try to relax:confused: . I remember the feeling well. Do something nice for yourself. After I took mine I was sure I had failed also (everyone I talk to always thinks they fail). I spent all day in bed and read a NON NURSING BOOK it was great.Wish I hand a magic wand to take away your worries....but I don't :scrying: so just hang in there you have worked very hard to get where you are. Let us know.
