How many of you plan on going beyond BSN?

Published

Personally I have my sights on CRNA, or NP. But I want to peruse the CRNA more than anything. It got me thinking. How many of you plan to go beyond your BSN, or if you are ADN do you plan on going further?

I am a Sophomore in my BSN program, have not even started nursing school yet.....:(, but if I "GOD WILLING", get into and out of nursing school, I hope to attempt at going to CRNA school, or NP school. Maybe even doing PA might be an option. I am a super newb at nursing, just got CNA, but I don't think looking that far into the future is a bad thing. I am sure I will narrow my choices once I decide which setting is best for me (ie. Hospital, Clinic, Surgical). The only thing I am for sure on is that LTC is not for me. I just got my CNA and am going to search franticlly for anything else for a CNA to do. I love helping people, despite their age or needs, but Geriatrics wears on me personally in a way I could not have anticipated. Anywho.

Peace, ALL

i will be going on to get my ACNP after I get my BSN.

I'm just starting NS this fall, so it's a little early to tell what I'm going to end up doing, but I am leaning toward becoming a pediatric NP in oncology. I definitely want to work with children and find cancer fascinating.

I have MS so don't see much ROI potential from MSN. Maybe a PhD but not nursing as I'm not fond of social science. Most likely path is working nurse with instrumentation R&D and maybe some airplane racing on days off.

im actually at the beginning of this race we call nursing starting a lpn program in a month...so i have a WHILE before im even to my BSN...but to answer your question...im ultimate goal is CRNA...i feel like nursing is best field to work in...with not TOO much school and great job opportunites..
