How many Nurses are Girl Scouts/Volunteers?

Published

I was amazed at my new job how many of my coworkers were Girl Scouts or Girl Scout leaders when I passed around a fund raiser for my Brownie troop. It made me wonder about how many nurses were involved in organizations like these that help service our communities. I would love to know what things some of you at allnurses are involved in. I'm going to guess we are a pretty involved bunch just because the kind of person that goes into nursing generally cares about other people. :yeah: Am I right? Would love to hear from you!

I am a Camp Fire leader. I was both a Camp Fire Girl and a Girl Scout as a child.

(Camp Fire is now co-ed). I have no kids but I enjoy the group I work with.

I was a Brownie, Girl Scout & Cadet leader for 7 years, Den mother for 3 years, Football Team mother for 5 years, Sunday School teacher, Youth Group leader, deliver Meals on Wheels & volunteered at Special Olympics. It sounds like a lot, but really, you meet some great friends in these types of organizations that just make it down right fun!!
