I took the NCLEX yesterday morning and I was done in an hour and only got 75 questions. When it shut off, my heart sank and I felt sick. I had no dosage cal. questions(which I'm good at), lots of pharm.(which I suck at), and a ton of priority questions. I hate this waiting and it's only been one day.
I took my nclex-rn on 9/28/2007 and passed with 76 questions.I had several med questions and lots of priority questions. I used saunders comprehensive review and I must say I answered most of my questions based on this review book. It went beyond the basics you get in NS, so I am verrrrrrrrry HAAAAAPPPPYYYY!

Just sat down and read through all of these posts. Yup, all 25 pages worth. That's because I took the NCLEX-RN today and thought that I failed. I called a buddy of mine who just took it a few weeks ago, and he said he felt the same way.
My head pounded. My whole body seemed to throb with my heart beat. Question after rediculous question, even some on subject matter that I know through PERSONAL experience, yet the answers were so obtuse that I couldn't pick one. I got a few select all that apply, a drag and drop, a look at the illustration and pick an answer, and at least 4 medication calculation. Lots of priority, teaching, a couple "who would you assign X type of nurse to when she floats to your unit". It was so surreal. I walked out thinking I will have to study all over again and re-take it. I did not remember the LPN boards I took exactly a year (to the day) ago being like this. Maybe I blocked out bad memories of it. I passed the LPN boards with the minimum of 85, and now I'm hoping that I passed my RN boards since it shut off at 75.
My friend John says "Dude! You're and RN now... you got it".
I'm starting to believe. QuickResults can't come quickly enough!

Well I took NCLEX-RN on Oct 9 and passed with 75 questions in 50 minutes. I had 2 math questions which were very easy and about 4 SATA. There was alot of information that was easy and required no thought but then there were questions about drugs I had never heard of B4 in my life. I had a lot of prioritization and delegation, along with alot about universal-contact-respiratory precautions scenarios. When I left I felt good because I only got 75 questions but I was also worried because I know ppl have failed with 75 questions.

i took mine this last friday, landed at number 75, got 3 select all that apply and 3 drug cal.. lots of questions with words like FIRST, INITIALLY, BEST, MOST, WHICH STATEMENT NEEDS FURTHER TEACHING OR ASSESSMENT and the newest to my sight is the word ESSENTIAL ..in pharms i think i got like 10+ questions, health teachings, what to do if the patient is like this, or that...my last question was like, what do you expect to assess in a client with this type of problem..i believe i answered that right, i say a little prayer before i started reading question number 75 and talked to the computer before i clicked the next button..saying..shut down baby! and it did!
im continuing to pray that i passed that exam. i felt positive when i finished it and thanked God for everything. i have to wait for a month!ggeezzz..yeah a month to receive a mail from them.
does anybody here had the same type of exam? especially that new word "essential" on the question..hope to hear from all of you guys somehow im feeling a bit scared too..i prepared so much for this exam. its now in God's hands.
