Hi all,

I was just curious as to how many credits you are averaging a semester??? Im a little concerned that I may have too much on my plate, but it cant be helped!! :) Thanks

:monkeydance:

im in an ADN program and our semesters are roughly 10 credits, this is without any sort of general education, only nursing courses.

I average 15 credits a semester. It still seems like it will take forever to finish my prereqs. Summer should be my last semester if I take the last four classes I need which include Organic Chem, Eng 205, Child Development, and one american institutions course. Will total 13 credits over 8 weeks. We shall see.

Good luck

I have 12, and I think one more class would have put me over the edge. 12 is doable. That's one extra class on top of the nursing classes I have to take.

During my pre-req's I would take anywhere between 12 and 18 (depending on how intense my classes were). This semester I have a whopping SIX because I am just filling up a semester of classes before I start the nursing program in May. I am bored out of my mind with only 6 credit hours -- even with working full-time.

My nursing program is 15 credit hours a semester and consists of 4 trimesters.

DITTO, and I am even taking some 1 credit nursing classes over the summer sessions to lighten my load during the year. for example, pharm and nutrition.

When I was doing my pre-reqs (in conjunction with earning credits toward my BA in Sociology) I did two semesters of 23 credits each. Crazy, I know. Probably too much, but I didn't care; I was trying to hurry up and graduate!

I think it depends on what you are taking, not so much the actual hours...I would ask around other students at the same school and run by the courseload by them....they tend to know more than the advisors on that issue anyway.
