how long it usually takes for CGFNS to send out the CGFNS ID number after having received the Visascreen application (online) and the credit card payment (online too)? In the "Correspondence" tab on the CGFNS online system there's a "Welcome - initial certificate - visascreen", but it's not mailed yet. They received my application about a week ago, and the application and payments are shown as "received and accepted".
I currently only have the CGFNS order number, and I'm wondering whether it's wise to mail photocopies of licenses and requests for transcripts and local license verifications until I have the CGFNS ID number?
actually I just got the CGFNS ID by email :-) It took them 2 weeks to email the ID number after having received my VisaScreen application and payment.
Now the ID number is also visible in the upper right corner of the personal information and test link pages :-)

i also didnt recieved any cgfns id either through mail/ email... i just saw it on the test link upper right corner when im browsing my cgfns account...if you still cant see it, better contact them.. u will have a cgfns id immediately after u submit any documents to them..
quick question - so we would have to wait for our CGFNS ID# before mailing the requests for academic records and validation of licenses? or is it okay to "bypass" the ID#? i even thought at first that the ORDER NUMBER is the ID#!! thanks thanks!

Oh no, you don't have to wait for it. Not at all and esp. if this would be your first time you will avail any service from CGFNS/ICHP. In fact, they won't even send your CGFNS/ICHP ID # until you availed of at least one service from their company and paid the fee, of course.
Go ahead and send your transcripts and fee. They'll send your CGFNS ID number afterwards. You will need the ID # to check your status on-line, make inquiries, etc... That's what the ID is just all about.
Hi everyone! I also would like to ask why I haven't gooten my CGFNS ID number yet? It has been three weeks now and I haven't received any email nor any regular mail from them. Why is this so? My friend said when she registerd online, she immediately got her CGFNS Id number thru email.. help me guys.. Pls.. thanks!
