How long before you were scheduled?

I am now patiently awaiting my ATT (just graduated Aug. 5th ). Naturally, all of my family were asking me when I expected to take the NCLEX :icon_roll , and I said hopefully in about 6 weeks, but that I thought perhaps it might be sooner, since I was a summer graduate, and not a May grad, like the majority of graduate nurses trying to take it at the same time. So anyway, I was wondering how long it took you from graduation until the day you sat/sit for NCLEX. I know each state will varry in the time it takes, but I can't help but ask!

Thanks for your continued help and support...this place is great!! :yelclap:

I graduated May 18th (Thurs), and got my ATT on Monday. I could have tested that week, but I waited to do it until after my wedding/honeymoon.:loveya:

Don't wait too long...

WOW, that was FAST! We were told that it would take our university at least 2 weeks to get the paperwork to the FL BON (we graduated 2 weeks ago tomorrow!) I want to take it ASAP, but I want to be sure I've practiced enough questions (talk about a catch 22, do I take it sooner or take the time to do more questions!) AND I start my GN position on Sept 11th (sigh)

Thanks for replying!

Yeah, AzBON is really fast. I got my paper license in the mail 3 days after I took the NCLEX!

Good Luck!

KSBON was pretty fast too. I got my ATT about 2 weeks. I could take my test about 10 days after taking it. But I chose to wait about a month. That way I would have time to go through more questions. After I passed I had my license in hand 3 days later.

I graduated on Aug 4th 2006 and I just found out about 6 hours ago that I past nclexpn. i wish you the best... the 48 hour wait on waiting for my results were the worst!!! I thought I was going CRAZY!!!!! Anyway, I got my ATT letter probably close to 2 weeks ago! Good luck!

I graduated on July 14, 2006. On August 5, I received my ATT. I could have tested as soon as August 8. I wanted to wait until my kids were back in school so I could study; it got scheduled for August 15. I'm still awaiting my results though as Tennessee is not a quick results state.

When you get your ATT you can go to the PearsonVue website and schedule your NCLEX exam. There is an interactive calendar where you can click to find the upcoming days/times available.

It took 7 weeks for my ATT, I scheduled my exam 2 weeks after that on the Pearson website, then it was only just over a week before I had the license come through. That was with Vermont & US to UK post.

Keep in mind that I was dealing with California, which is the slowest state for nursing licensure.

I completed school October 14, received my ATT on November 21, took the NCLEX-PN on December 28, received the passing results on January 9, and was issued my California license on January 20. The overall process of gaining licensure was over three months in duration.
