How Long for NCLEX RESULTS in CA

This is my first post. I took the CA LVN NCLEX Aug. 2nd. How long does it take for the results? Do the results come via mail or can I find them on consumer affair website?Thank you in advance for your replies. The waiting is very stressful.:eek:

well my friend who took nclex on july 10th 2008 and received her result on august 6th. So basically give it about a month or 3-4 weeks, she received it via mail....m not sho if u can find the results any other way.

If you took the NCLEX-PN for California, your results will arrive via snail mail in 3 to 4 weeks. You will not be able to find the results online, as you have not been issued a license number yet.

i dont know about the pn but on the rn site, check your name on the license verification in the bvnpt and if you name appears that means there's an existing license for you now. if not, then no license no. will appear under your name

The BVNPT does not deal with RNs.

The California BRN (Board of Registered Nursing) does things differently than the California BVNPT (Bureau of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians). If you took the NCLEX-PN for California and are awaiting results, it will be a silly waste of time to look online for your results, because you aren't going to find them there. Snail mail is the only way to find out if you've passed the NCLEX-PN for California.

Here's how it goes. You receive a letter in the mail with your NCLEX-PN results. If you passed, you must send a $120 licensure fee into the BVNPT along with a copy of your results. Once they receive the copy of your results and cash the check, an LVN license number will appear online.

In California, your name will not appear on the BVNPT site until well after you have paid for your license. This means waiting for the passing result to arrive via snail mail, and sending your $120 payment to the BVNPT.

that's why i said i'm not sure about the pn part. rn and bvnpt both have the online license verification feature in their respective websites. i'm just suggesting to try it since i always use the rn verification in the website if my friends passed the exam. it's much quicker and they always ask me why i knew it first than them

Those that write the NCLEX-PN exam for CA do not pay for their license until they have passed the actual exam. All other states require payment of the license fee before one tests.

This is why one will never see their name on the website for the LVNs until they have received the letter and have paid the fee.
