I'm going to answer my own question since I've taken the test and passed, so for future text takers who might stumble upon this thread. As everyone knows quick results are available 48 hours after the test through pearsonvue. My question specifically was how long would it take for my license number to be posted on the BON website...the answer is 3 days after you take the test (if all your paperwork is in, i.e. child abuse and infection control certificates). I took the test on Monday and my license number was posted on Thursday, so there isn't any short cuts...it's quicker to find out through pearsonvue.
Not necessarily. Mine was up about 6 days later.
Same as neeniebean, I took my NCLEX on a Friday morning and found out I passed on Sunday morning via the pearson website. My license number, however, was not posted on the BON website until about 6-7 days later (It was finally up on the following Thurs if remembered correctly).
I was also wondering the same thing, I took NCLEX on 8/4 and passed, and still am not listed on the BON website. My employer however knew I passed the next day because they said they looked up my license and found it, I am still curious as to how this happened since I cannot find it myself and have not been back to work yet to ask.
Yeah, it seems to vary alot. I took my test on July 28 and my license was just posted yesterday, August 8. My friend's was posted quicker than that, about a week later. Maybe it depends on how many people take the test on each partuicular day.
All I know is........I passed!!!!! Yeah!!!
A real RN now!

Hello,
I'm just curious to know from you all that have taken NCLEX (obviously for NY), how long did it take before your name appeared on the BON website. For instance, if I'm taking the test on a Monday, when should I expect to see my name and license posted? I know in some states like PA, once you pass it shows up the next day so I wanted to know if it's the same for NY...that would be great to slash my post-nclex worries from 48 hours to just 24
