Hi Clarenut! I bet you're talking about NCLEX-PN?, since we are on the LPN/LVN corner right? The board is basically I would say majority is all about meds. The only difference is that you might be getting questions from the database (bank of questions) that are all about cardio meds, or neuro or endo, etcetera and peppered with questions regarding maternal/infant nursing (prioritization and again meds), psych (mental nursing) meds. I suggest and totally encouraged you to really go over with your pharma. Then, to get a date to do the exam is very easy 'cuz you can really take the board after you register with PearsonVue (of course after paying $200! ) and they will email you with an ATT (Authorization to Test). Then login to their website to schedule a test. You can schedule even the next day or two as long as there is a spot for you at your desired testing center! Good luck!

Hi!

Kaismommey is absolutely correct about what is on the nclex-pn. I just took it last tues. Lots of med questions and more labor and delivery questions than i would have expected. I also had questions about ileal conduits which I have never had the pleasure to work with. I used Saunders and LPn made easy to study - But I still felt like a bonehead after the test. I agree with Kaismommey about the pharmacology - study it!!

Keep in touch! and good luck to you!!

Debbie
