How long before hearing from Parkland?

Published

I've completed quite a few applications for RN positions at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and I was wondering how long until I would hear anything? Of course, I don't expect an instant response as I know there are other candidates applying besides myself but can anyone who interviewed with Parkland fill me in? I'm a new grad RN and unfortunately wasn't accepted to any residency programs for this February so I am applying (have been since December to be honest) to anything that I'm qualified for at my current experience level.

Parkland is notorious for exceptionally slow response times to job candidates. Average can be as long as three months in some cases, unfortunately.

I can tell you Parkland is moving away from hiring new grads outside of residencies.

Wow, that is a major bummer to hear. I might be looking into dialysis with DaVita if that is the case with Parkland. Gotta start somewhere.

If you know any nurse managers at Parkland it is definitely worth reaching out. You could also try emailing a recruiter and see if they can give you an ETA on when you would hear, or may be able to help you get an interview. You can find some on linkedin.. It's worth reaching out, worst case they'll just say they cant help, but hopefully they can put you in contact with someone!!

Thank you, I'll give it a try! ?
