How long is the RN Program in the Philippines? I have a Bachelor Degree already here in the US, CA. I am planning to visit Cebu, Philippines next month to find out but I was wondering if anyone on this forum/website be kind enough to answer my question. Thanks in advance!

4 years. It may become shorter if some of your units in your bachelor degree will be credited.
Thanks for your reply. I called the State Board of Nursing here in CA and I was told that it should be 2yrs (2nd courser). They also inform me that certain school in the Philippines will tell you its 4years due to profits. However, state of CA is planning to ban student from earning their BSN in that country but no time line at this point. I hope to find out more information when I take my trip in a few days. I hope the information I obtain will be useful for others.

Do you mind explaining this further as I'm confused as to what it meant...CA is planning on banning students from earning their BSN in which country?
Juan,
Banning students who are from CA, USA from attending RN school in the Phillippines. This was a conversation I had with a lady from the Board of Nursing of CA.

im interested in getting my rn or bsn in eastern europe, the philippines, india or somewhere overseas as i hear the degree is less expensive, here in Florida they want 50 grand for an rn license. The only drawback is if I get my degree overseas, can i work in the US?

they are going to bannned nurses who got there degree in the PI? what could be the reason then?
I'm not sure about Florida but here in CA you can get your RN Degree from oversea which is the Philippines in my case & be able to work after obtaining your license. I advise you to contact the Board of Nursing in Florida. Currently, I am attending Cebu Doctor's University and its only 3yrs for me since I am a Bachelor Degree holder from the US and the tuition here is much more affordable than CA. I refuse to be in student loan debt! :)
Just to update, the board of nursing here in CA will NOT restrict students from obtaining RN Degree oversea such as the Philippines due to the high demand in the next ten years
What they meant is that they will no longer accept 2nd courser program from the Philippines.

What they meant is that will no longer except 2nd courser credits from the Philippines.

Hi kathy, I have several questions about getting into the program in PI. I am in CA and also have a Bachelor's degree. Can I email you?
