How far do you travel for work?

I accepted a position in another state, its 100miles one way...3 days per week...Am I crazy??? lol Salary, opportunity and benefits far outweigh what I can get locally, or I would have never considered it......

So, how lengthy is YOUR commute?

Currently, I commute 35 miles one way and I drive all day between offices so I usually log 60-75 miles/day.

I do weekend call every 4th weekend and commute 55 miles one way then.

A few years back I did agency in Chicago. I worked the 3 pm to 3 am shift and it was a 2 1/2 hour commute one way! I did this twice per week for six months. Yes, it stunk bad and was very hard but you do what you gotta do.

If this is what you need to do for the $$, job satisfaction or some other reason, then you just adjust.

It takes me 20 minutes to get to work. I work day shift so there isn't a whole lot of cars on the freeway.

About 10 blocks to work for me, It take just a couple of minutes to get there! I love it! I'm home before my coworkers are even out of town! I Live about 40 minutes from the Twin Cities and could make $5 an hour more but at this time in my life and with the gas prices it isn't worth it to me to drive that distance. I would never even consider :no:driving 100 miles to a job, not for any amount of money, but that's just me.

Five minutes to my real job and five minutes the other way to my prn job.

12 Minutes... If I don't have to wait for a train.... it would be 5 Minutes if i didn't have to go to the nearest bridge. I had a job offer 30 miles away for $2. more an hour... not having to drive made the decsion for me.!!!
