Agree with other posts about San Diego NP market and salary. It is a tight job market for RNs, NPs, and many other healthcare professions because so many people want to live there. Many jobs also require Spanish. Yes, there are jobs, but the pay, given the cost of living, is not very good. The same is true for Los Angeles and SF Bay Area. The demand for healthcare providers is high in inland California and the pay is much better when cost of living is factored in.
San Diego proper is pretty rough and the compensation doesn't really match the cost of living. You'll meet bedside nurses making more.
If you go a little off the beaten path like Temecula or even closer like Carlsbad, you'll come across some better paying jobs which also work out better because cost of living is a little lower.

Wondering if the job market is saturated in San Diego.
What is the starting pay salary for an NP there?
Much appreciated in advance!
