does one need to be good at chemistry and like it?

In some pre reqs near my area all one needs is biology sometimes which is ok. But I have never been good at chemistry let alone physics.

And the two subjects of physics and chem not only was I not good at it.

I also do not have much of an interest in the two subjects. Biology seems interesting though

You need to get through chemistry in order to successfully and satisfactorily complete your nursing degree and go on to be a nurse. You do not use true chemistry itself as a nurse in most cases, but, you may use some of the things you learned in practice (dimensional analysis).

Specializes in psychiatric nursing.

You need chemistry for your pre-req to get into nursing school. After that, there is no chemistry in nursing school. I am in a PMHNP program, definitely no chemistry in this program. No need for physics either.

On the other hand PA programs do make you take those classes.

An understanding of chemistry is needed to understand processes in the body.

So pay attention.

You need to know what drugs can and cannot be mixed. Thats about it lol
