okay, here it goes- I am super NERVOUS !!! I am schedule to take the NCLEX next week 03/15/2014 @1Pm. I have been studying all ATI Reviews , ATI questions and on and off KAPLAN Qbank questions.i study 4-7 hr /day. my school forces us to do the ATI and they are saying that if you do ATI you will pass..!? but everyone is saying Kaplan is the best. so I am confused as well .
I have had problems with Pharm and some what medsurge so I am putting energy on those a lot. I have a baby on the way and I feel so mush pressure. I cant stop my heartbeating when I think about NCLEX.
I am so cereous about the type of questions are actually in NCLEX , are they really tricky and complicated or they are just straight forward like : PT is taking mg sulfate, what the RN expect ?
I have not done any multiple select questions yet. I am going to review them this week.
I am freaking out here .

Hello, I took nclex mar 3 and I as well everyone in our position freaks out!! But you'll be fine. Just make sure you do as many questions as you can and read each rationale even for the ones you got right. For my studies I used my Kaplan book, Saunders book, and our school gave Hesi/Saunders review material. I found Kaplan helped me to answer nclex style questions and with the more questions I did (50-150/day) the better I got at answering them. I mainly used saunders for content on the subjects I was a little rusty on. And little prayer never hurt nobody. Good luck to you!

First, breathe! Take a deep breath.
It's good that you have done ATI through school because it does prepare you. I thought ATI questions were a little harder than the actual NCLEX. BUT, the NCLEX questions are not straightforward like your example above. You do have to analyze the questions and there are a lot of SATA.
Study methods are really based on your own preference and study habits. There is no right or wrong way to study. It's all about what you feel comfortable doing. My advice though, is that you do as many questions a day as possible. This will really prepare you. Read through the rationales and make sure you understand them. If there's something you're still iffy about, go back and look it up.
Kaplan is good for questions and test-taking strategies. You can still take your ATI tests to prepare you as well.
thanks everyone. I answer around 200 Q's /day . I am extremely nervous. !!!! ?:) Count down starts today ( -7)... I pray all the time. I got so much pressure. my wife is pregnant and I need to get over this exam and join the working RN position

They said that KAPLAN has the best Q&A which are similar to NCLEX. If you decided to use their decision tree, practice it in every question. I think it's really not important what score you get on every practice test (it can boost your confidence though), read and understand each rationale. know why you got it right and why you didn't. Good luck! God bless!
update : I had to rescheduled bc I got 58% on ATI Predictor and I m shock and upset. and the ECG strips and cardiac are now major part NCLEX. couple of people said that their exam had over 5 Q's just related with strips. I am going to review them at least another 3 days and over stuff that I am lack of- my next post is going to included the link that goes over EKG's .

I took mine may 2013 and not only did I have a lot of EKG strips to interpret I also had to know which drug I would give. My last question was a super easy dose calc question so I freaked out thinking I failed since it shut off on such an easy question, but I passed. Good luck!
ps: everyone leaves the test thinking they failed so don't freak out!
thanks for the support :)
Update : 04 /04 /2014 pearson vue says - i" cant register at this moment ,contact to florida board of nursing " what is that means ?
I had the hardest test 265 Questions, 6 hrs, 45 SATA - ALL THE TEST WAS ABOUT INFECTONS AND PHARM , 1 ECG, 1 MATH, VERY LITTLE PRIORTY
That's a good sign. That's what is referred to as the Pearson Vue Trick. If you get that pop up, it means you passed. If it takes you to the credit card page, you failed. Congrats! I'm sure you got your official results by now.
My test was a lot harder than what others said/were as well. I had a few prioritization, lots of diseases, some skills and pharm, 2 math questions, couple EKG, etc. But the good news is... once you pass, you don't have to take it again.
Congrats! Good luck on the first job search.
