How do I make sure I'm ready?

Published

I know the title is a little vague, but I just got in to an Associates program and it's been 2-5 years since I've taken some of my pre-requisites. I took A&P1 5 years ago and really didn't even do that well....

What would all you current nursing students suggest I look at to make sure I'm not completely lost in my first semester?

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

Do you still have your textbooks and notes?

You'll want to review blood flow (follow a drop of blood), liver and its functions, kidneys and their functions, ovulation, parts of the brain and their functions. Review the electrolytes and their effects in the body.

Just a friendly heads up, you may want to change your screen name if that's your real name. Anonymity is highly valued on AN, and you never know who may come across something you post!

Congrats on getting into your program!!

Thanks for responding. There's no last name so I'm not worried...I'll definitely be making some A&P flash cards!

Ah, OK! Wasn't sure if Lyn was your last name. :)

Happy card making! That's my study method of choice as well.
