How did you first hear about allnurses.com?

I started the site, so mine is "Other". :)

Please feel free to provide additional comments by posting a reply. Thanks

While doing internet searches for bad online publicity for the travel nurse agency I used to work for. Yes, they assigned me to do this while working in their PR department. I immediately became addicted and never did find anything bad about that particular agency on this board, just a brief mention in a long dead thread. I am now a nursing student who always finds motivation, information and amusement here.

I'm taking an RN to BSN program and was doing classwork on nursing informatics when I found the site.

Hi all,

I happened to find you on the Web, I am a medical assistant with approx.20years of experience, I work for four highly qualified General & Vasc.Surgeon, been with them for 17years. I think its time to add more letters after my name.....

Thanks,

MM

I landed here several years ago looking for sites for Continuing Education. I decided today that I might as well join the group.

Specializes in med/surg.

I joined in '96. I was probably searching the web for something on nurses or nursing - couldn't tell you what or why. Probably just passing time.

Have to say though, I've had a grand time coming back here and reading or posting to the different threads.

Specializes in Med-surg; OB/Well baby; pulmonology; RTS.

Yahoo search engine looking for information on the ccrn exam

Specializes in ortho/surgical /urology /occupational.

I was able to fins this site search for other nursing links for studying and furthering my education. I love to read and find out all of the information and keep up to date with nursing information. Love the site very nice

Search Engine and I am sooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was searching for information on how I was ever going to finally be able to sit the nclex exam as I was still getting the run around from CGFNS.

I am finally sitting the exam this Thursday so I sure hope that I pass, had to go back to school last semester to do Psych and Ob/Infant health. That was fun as it had been so long since I had been in school. The only downside was that I had to travel 2 and 1/2 hours each way to go to school.

This website has been a great help for me and although I don't often post anything I enjoy reading about how others find nursing here. (I am originally from Australia and am now living in Florida)

So everyone keep their fingers and anything else possible crossed for me on Thursday that I pass the exam :balloons:

i put the words, 'backstabbing co-workers' into google and allnurses.com came up. but it's so great that an honest discussion can happen here.

I loved your line when I read it.....I guess that we all have experienced the "backstabbing co-workers". I laughed out loud when I read it.

I come to allnurses maybe once or twice a week, don't always sign in, just read some of the posts that interest me. There are some posters with great senses of humor here!!!

I have been a nurse 42 years, and still find things to love--mainly my patients!!! It seems over the years that the science about the body has always picqued my interest, so it was no surprise that my granddaughter aged 7 says to me one night as we lay in bed reading, "So, Mimi, tell me about the human body." When I was in second grade I don't remember being taught about the digestive system, but she sure is learning about it, and by her explanations proves that she really is "getting it." That is so amazing to me.

My intro to all nurses came about through google as most did....;)

I'M A TRAVEL NURSE AND NEED TO KNOW THE DOWN AND DIRTY OF WHICH COMPANIES AND FACILITIES TO DEAL WITH. ALSO WANT TO AVOID PERFORMANCE BASED TESTING AS CAME ALL THE WAY OUT TO TX AND MIGHT NOT HAVE HAD A JOB--STRESS I DON'T NEED. ALSO NEED TO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE PROBLEMS GERMANE TO TRAVELERS. WE ALL BENEFIT FROM SHARING OUR EXPERIENCES AND IF WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER AVOID THE POTHOLES, LET'S DO SO. WE WORK HARD FOR OUR MONEY!
