I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to take statistics and english comp 1 this summer while working full time...
Last semester I took A&P 1 online while working full time and managed a 4.0 GPA but it took a lot of time to achieve (2-3 hrs/day).
How hard/time consuming is online statistics for someone with pretty strong math skills compared to A&P?
How hard/time consuming is ENC 1101?
Thanks
I found stats challenging but I did get an A. I don't know anyone who got an A taking it online. I know someone who paid someone to take the class for her online and got an unearned A. Outrageous, but true.
Being good at math is relative. I suggest you buy the book, or a cheap previous edition and look at the material. Ask yourself if you could learn this by yourself at home. You may be good at math and still need a teacher for this material.
As far as English comp 1, I am not sure. I was an English major with my previous degree and tested out of composition. I took a class called Espository writing instead which was notoriously difficult. I think you need to ask people who have been to your particular college about the comp course because they vary quite a lot.
Best wishes in your studies
Thanks for all the input guys,
As I figured everyone's experience with statistics is a bit different...I know "difficulty" is relative term. We all process the material a little differently. I tend to set very high standards for myself so I know I will do whatever it takes to get an A+ in the class if I am capable. The downside is that I don't want to kill myself in the process..
Many have said that they found statistics to be less time consuming then A&P which is really what I was wondering. I think I'm going to try do both classes (ENC 1101 and STA 2023) next semester and see how it goes. Unless one of you changes my mind between now and then...haha

Lol, there must be too many students applying. That doesn't make sense and that would probably tear apart the highest earning A student. Maybe that area has too high of a population. Las Vegas is a small city and the number of students that apply for UNLV is usually in the 100s for 49 seats each semester.
