I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to take statistics and english comp 1 this summer while working full time...
Last semester I took A&P 1 online while working full time and managed a 4.0 GPA but it took a lot of time to achieve (2-3 hrs/day).
How hard/time consuming is online statistics for someone with pretty strong math skills compared to A&P?
How hard/time consuming is ENC 1101?
Thanks
Note, that didn't apply to my BSN. Just everything else, including prereqs.
I didn't say pre-reqs. I said the program. Pre-reqs are NOT a program. Nursing school is. I've been told by 3 students from 3 different schools I'm interested in applying in and they said "You can't pick the teachers you want once you get into the program". When they said "the program" they were referring to their schools program they were in. That's probably another way they weed out students. They find out who is lazy and who isn't.
Does that apply to the courses being discussed?
Anything nursing related. There's a nutrition course we have to take(NURS299) prior to applying and the nursing dept. picks your instructor. Pre-reqs, A&P I and II and Micro, YOU can pick your teacher, but if it starts with NURS, the dept. picks, NOT you.
I don't think OP was asking about nursing classes, just statistics and English comp.
I actually used RMP for my stats class and my teacher seems pretty cool. There's not many tutors for the stats I'm taking maybe because the level of math to get into is SO LOW(refer to my comment with CSN math chart). I'll definitely be going to him for help though. Our exams are pretty late too as far as when we take them. My A&P I class has exams earlier than my stats schedule and there is more of them too. Stats isn't a major importance for my nursing pre-reqs but I"m still going to try and do well in it. I think I'm going to dump a lot of my time in A&P I. If it's not important majorly for nursing, then a B would suffice but still you should aim for an A to keep your GPA as high as possible.

In more and more nursing schools, every B is unhelpful. In some schools, 3.9 or higher is the typical entry GPA. Some schools turn away applicants with 4.0s and healthcare experience. This is not true of all schools. However, Bs now seem to matter a lot more than they did 20 years ago.

Lmao damn! Are you saying that back then, schools turned you away with a 4.0 but nowadays B's are becoming acceptable? I mean times are growing faster and faster. We have cars that last longer and get better mileage and we have smart phones that last 8+ hrs so people want to get things done quicker and if the days of not being in a rushed are being overpowered by the generation that is being rushed, the non-rushed generation is obviously retiring and the rushed generation has to take care of them.

I really like RMP but I believe students need to realize that that website is not healthy to use. I've been told by 3 students from 3 schools I know in my area that you don't get to pick your instructor. The program picks for you.
