I went online to the Calif. Board of Vocational Nursing and looked up "approved IV course providers. It cost me 225 for 2 weekends. I haven't taken the NCLEX yet but the school said it was ok to take now and once we pass to let them know our license number and they'll send in the paperwork and this way the IV cert will be on our license? I'm not exactly sure what she meant but I'm following what she said.
I am going to try just that thank you

It was part of my PN schooling. I would think any facility you work for would also offer it.

My job offered it to us. I think that their training sucked, but they did for free. I am considering taking a real course with real instructors so that I can get the picture. Currently, I work in a clinic, so thank goodness, it doesn't matter for the moment

I have been employed at the same nursing/rehab center for the past 1.5 years. About 4 months ago, our outside pharmacy company had an opening for an IV therapy class, and my workplace sponsored me so that I could attend. The class was full-time for 2 days, and certified me in central lines and IV therapy for the elderly. Not only did I receive my IV certification at no cost to me, but I also received 13 CEUs that are applicable to my next licensure renewal.
