The double standard is a problem. My experience is that more mature lady nurses impose their own values on you and the patient and so exclude you from the care. I understand the need to respect patient request, but try this one on. Patient requested a gay male white nurse. Hospital admin told him to find another hospital.

Do any of you have liability insurance? How can I locate a reputable company? Thanks

Congratulations on getting your license. As I have been job hunting, I am finding that you need to get to the small county hospitals to find LPN jobs. The further away from the city you go, the more opportunity presents itself. The hospitals close to Atlanta seem to be focused on becoming 'magnet' hospitals and are not hiring LPN's this year.

Relax, just went through it last week and had the same feelings. I even studied RN questions and took mock RN test to insure I had the concepts. Left the test at 85 questions and knew I had failed. Two days later, I get the 'pass' notification. When all is said and done, I have yet to hear from anyone who prepared well and failed. I almost believe the decision is made after about 20 questions and the last 65 are just teasers. Overstatement, but I wonder how far from the truth. Let me congratulate you. I am sure you passed.

New to nursing and need to know; What is the appropriate dress for an LPN interview. Suit and tie, business casual, scrubs? My apologies if this is a dumb question, but I want to get it right. Thanks

The hospitals in Metro Atlanta (for me all cities,etc. within 30 mile radius) each have their own policies with regard to hiring LPN's. Plenty of jobs in LTC and prisons. Pay range high teens. Hope that helps.

Took my NCLEX today and I too shut off at 85. Does anyone know someone who shut down at 85 and failed?
