Hey everyone . just wondering how do YOU find out about allnurses.com. I found out about it when I was searching for somehting about nursing school and I looked for it on a search engine. I happened to pass this site on that search. I thought this was interesting site, but not exactly what I was looking for at the time. When I finally realized I was going to do it (nursing school). I thought about this site and been hooked here ever since.:)
Hi I found the site when I was accepted to ADN program at my community college. I had a really great website for A&P that had quizes, chat groups etc. and I wondered if there were any out there for nursing students to support & help eachother. I typed something like "nursing study groups" or something and this was one of the sites that came up. I came, I visited for several months and registered just yesturday.
I will begin my 2 year journey through the clinical program on Aug. 31. I have already taken a great dosage calc. class and passed my final as well as math mastery exam :rotfl: that we have to take prior to each semester to ensure we can safely admin. meds.
sorry this is so long-winded.... This is a really great place and an asset to any student, hopeful, or working nurse!

Hello everyone, I found this site while looking for a picture of a heart. I don't really know how to use this site yet. I am a student nurse and I have recently finished and passed my first essay on the community. I am now on placement in a hospital and I have to do another essay called a 'SINI' this stands for a Situation In Need of Improvement. I am really stuck with what I am meant to be doing and my academic advisor is on holiday for a couple of weeks. would anyone be able to help me please? thanks

We have to do a teaching thing for health promotion. I have been thinking on things to do for that and I would like to do something on disaster preparedness. Like with Katrina and 911 I wonder if that is something you could do for your SINI? We have to present ours to a community group, I would target children, I haven't got it all figured out but we could do things to help them remember numbers and maybe routes to neighbors house, just in general what to do when a disater happens. I know that in our area that is a situation in need of improvement.

I found it in the same way. I was doing a web search for anesthesia graduate school rankings and this site came up with a forum post about the rankings. I'm glad I found this website because it has topics for nursing students, RNs, SRNAs, and CRNAs.

I was so worried after my NCLEX exam...I was searching for support and found this site...I still occasionally pop in to gain knowledge, have a good laugh with everyone, or catch up on fellow nurses thoughts on current events ...it's a wonderful place to visit!
