Hi all!
Need some advice. I am trying to figure out my schedule for fall. I am trying to get into an accelerated bachelors program but must complete the pre reqs first. I will need to have all pre reqs completed by next August to apply for the program commencing Jan 2012. In order to meet this deadline I may have to take A&P during the summer. If I don't take them in the summer I will have to wait longer before I can apply to the program. The program starts each January so I would have to wait until January 2013. I know A&P is hard and alot of information during the regular semester so I know it will be fast and difficult during the summer. I will not be taking any other class with it but I will be working full time. Has anyone done this? Give thoughts and advice please.

It must be doable or schools wouldnt offer the course in a summer session.
Its tough, each class is almost like a weeks worth of material. However, if you have alot of free time it can be done. Expect to study daily if you want a good grade. I just finished my first week, i'm gonna have to spend the whole entire weekend studying.
It's well worth it though, In 4 weeks it's over with...v.s. a typical long semester
I know it is doable. I guess I just wanted to know how difficult. I expect to study lots. It is a six week class and meets M-F for 2.5 hours. I work full time during the day but I have down time at work to study and I will have an hour before class to study and will also study during lunch.
Are you working full time?
No, i'm not working at all.
However, i'm sure i could technically work part time etc.. and still get this done. I dont study round the clock or anything.
But in general it is time consuming. Especially when you have a bunch of exams.
For example, i have 3 exams in A&P+lab coming up this week. So, i'm gonna be studying all day long this weekend.

I took AP2 (which I found somewhat harder than AP1) during the summer (along with Micro and general psych). By itself AP would have been fine, but with three classes I was booked solid. If you remain focused and don't fall behind, there should be no reason why you can't do it.

Wish I didn't have to work! I wouldn't be stressed about taking it in the summer if I didn't have to work. Is this the only class that you are taking?
Yes it's the only one. its a 4 week course. It's A&P2 to be specific
We are in class from 8am to 1pm, 4 days per week.
Thanks! I will be taking it alone but working full time. That was my reservation. I feel a little better about this now.

I'm working a full 40/week and taking AP2 right now. Its a 10 weeker and it runs pretty quick, but it is definitely do-able. AP2 is definitely harder than AP1 but if you want that A you will find a way to get it! I would not want to wait a year!
